It's been quite an interesting month in here so far and it feels like it has lasted forever. After Maijas visit I had few days of normal living with doing long hours and trying to figure out new directions in life. When the 1st weekend after the visit came I headed to Brussels to meet my friend Rölli. It was a weekend of booze and parties. I really cant remember the time I had that much to drink on Friday and still had my ability to continue with similar style on Saturday. It is really amazing how many people in brussels are involved with EU. People eather work directly for EU or are supporting it somehow. I think during the visit I met only two or three people who did something else for living. On Saturday we had a party at Röllis house with people from atleast 12 different nationalities present. Majority of them was scandinavian for some reason.
After the visit in Brussels I have spend my time in Düsseldorf. Few very nice weekends with good parties atleast from music point of view. It is really strange how people party in here. You have so many good dj's visiting the town but people don't appriciate that so much. They go to the parties to show off. T-shirts are not allowed and sneakers only if they are really cool. Not my kind of scene I would say. The clubs I visited were cool. Ufer8 and Rudast Studios both nice looking places with great sound and effective staff. One thing to learn to other bars is the payment methods. You get a card when entering and the bartenders just mark what you drink. When you leave the place you pay your drinks. It really speeds up the service.
Tomorrow its time to start summer party season with Kiesgrube Opening in Neuss. Loco Dice playing at outdoor party in nice beach like surroundings what I have heard. Should be fun to chill out and enjoy the summer (yes we have +20C already)

Another month started and another easter passed by. The new month started with joyfull occation: Maija visited me here in Düsseldorf! 5 days of Fun and Love :)
Easter in here is a bit different thing what I have used to in Finland. In here on thursday night some strange regulation takes place permitting 'loud' music and dancing until saturday morning. This means that almoust nothing happens in the city. We learned this the hard way by trying to find some happening without any luck. Eventually that was not so bad thing since we had a chance to go for a few drinks and have a long night after that.
On friday we headed to Benrath castle in Düsseldorf. A nice little castle and a beautiful park surrounding it. Not a bad way to spend your day. The day was crowned with a excellent dinner at Sila Thai and magnificent bottle of read wine.
Saturday took us to Köln: Visit to the Cathedral, some shopping and partying later at nigh. A bit of a surprise was that the DJ at the best party in town was DJ Kiki, Finnish guy who has lived in Berlin for quite some time now. One thing needs a special mentioning: I hate people who smoke! You really can't have that much fun when you can't breath in a party! Would be really nice if Germany joined the rest of the world with no smoking laws!
Sunday hangover was cured in Claudius therme in various different kind of saunas. Some good, some strange but all with the same goal: get you purified and recharge your body. Later that night even the soul got recharged when we headed to the opera. Don Carlos by Verdi is always a safe choice and specially when Matti Sallinen plays the role of Filipo. The opera house in Köln is not that good but they have a very active scene so I'm betting that I will repeat my super sunday again in near future.
